Rebates, credits, and costs:

The full price of the solar water heating system is unique to the installation and a firm quote requires a site visit. But due to all the alternative clean energy attention, which is not going away, there are many incentives for GOING SOLAR. These incentives cover the majority of the expense to you! First and foremost, there is a 30% federal tax credit. This incentive has just been renewed for another 8 years! There is a Florida state rebate. There is a Progress Energy credit. With our new president and administration, I think we can expect even more incentives in the coming years. Reducing carbon emissions and our dependence on foreign oil is a main priority for the Obama administration. I think we can expect all new homes to be required to have solar hot water systems as they do in Hawaii with California and Arizona soon to follow suit. It stands to reason that it will be required in the "Sunshine State" as well. You will also enjoy substantial monthly savings on your power bill.

Not only is the investment in solar a smart thing to do, it's the right thing to do. We need to SAVE THE PLANET.
